The Australian Reptile Park is excited to introduce its newest resident, Chilli, an irresistibly adorable 12-week-old dingo puppy! Chilli, named after the beloved mum character from the popular children’s TV show Bluey, joins the Park’s growing family of dingoes. Renowned for her sweet and snuggly nature, Chilli has already stolen the hearts of the zookeepers, often seen cuddling up with her carers during downtime.

Chilli will soon be introduced to Bluey and Bandit, her new dingo family, who are also named after characters from the Bluey series. At 18 weeks old, Bluey and Bandit have quickly become fan favourites at the Park, enchanting visitors with their playful antics and daily walks around the grounds. However, Chilli will spend the next few weeks growing a bit bigger before meeting her soon-to-be playmates. For now, visitors can see Chilli during her daily walks and will be able to pat the cuddly pup.

“We are absolutely overjoyed to welcome Chilli to our dingo family,” said Mammal Keeper Imogen Melder. “She is such a sweet girl and loves nothing more than curling up in our laps. She’s already showing so much personality, and we can’t wait for everyone to meet her and see her bond with Bluey and Bandit.”

“As adorable as Chilli is, she also plays an important role in our mission to educate the public on the significance of dingoes in Australia’s ecosystem,” Melder continued. “We hope Chilli, Bluey, and Bandit will help our visitors better understand the role these apex predators play in maintaining ecological balance.”
