Wheelchair access

Most areas of the Australian Reptile Park are wheelchair accessible with wide concrete, grass, and bark paths. Free wheelchair hire is available with photo ID at Reception.

Please note the following measurements of barriers, fences and viewing windows of the noted exhibits:

• Elvis the Crocodile: 6 windows (2m long, 85cm high, 30cm viewing space). No wheelchair access to grandstand.
• Koalas: Photo yard accessible; barriers 1.1m high, no windows. Accessible viewing platform by Alligator Lagoon.
• Komodo Dragons: 85cm barrier with glass to ceiling.
• Lace Monitors: 1 window (65cm from ground, 30cm viewing space).
• Lost World of Reptiles: Viewing height varies 65-100cm.
• Nocturnal House: Ramp access, 80cm glass viewing.
• Outdoor Reptile Pits: 95cm barrier, no windows.
• Echidnas: 85cm barrier, no windows.
• Show Pit: 85cm barrier (lowest near Alligator Lagoon), no wheelchair access to grandstand.
• Spider World: Viewing window at 95cm with live TV feed.
• Tasmanian Devils: 3 windows (55cm from ground, 30cm viewing space). No grandstand wheelchair access.
• Undercover Area: Same level access.
• Wombat: 2 windows (65cm from ground, 45cm viewing space).
• Yellow-footed Rock Wallabies: 95cm barrier, no windows.

Accessible Bathroom

An accessible unisex bathroom is located between the Hard Croc Café and Frog Hollow, near the crocodile exhibit. It features a 450mm high toilet, transfer rails, and a child change table.

Seating

There is plenty of seating throughout the Park. Picnic tables are in the Main Park and Undercover Area, with benches by the main building, Show Pit, and Bush Birds aviary.

Assistance Animals are Welcome

Service animals are welcome at the Australian Reptile Park, except in the Main Park Area due to free-range kangaroos. Declare your service animal at Reception with documentation.

Free Entry for Carers

The Australian Reptile Park offers free entry for carers with a NSW Companion Card. Visitors with a disability can enter at a discounted Concession rate with valid ID.

Sensory considerations

For visitors with sensory disorders that would prefer a less crowded experience, we recommend visits either early (when the Park opens at 9am or after 2pm on a weekday (excluding school and public holidays)Some of our exhibits include features that may become overwhelming to someone with a sensory disorder. These include:The Lost World of Reptiles & Spider World – loud sound effects and animatronics. Features strong strobe lighting effects throughout the exhibitNocturnal House – dim lighting for our nocturnal speciesOpen air aviaries – free flying birds may fly close to youLorikeet feeding – Wild lorikeets feed daily at 12pm and 3pm in the Main Park Area. This can be very loud with lorikeet screeching.
