The Easter bunny may be hopping around the world in just two sleeps, but he dropped into the Australian Reptile Park today to spread some cheer to the animals and start the celebrations early!
In an adorable video released by the Australian Reptile Park, some lovable Aussie animals including koalas, quokkas, kangaroos, wallabies, and Tasmanian devil joeys get into the Easter spirit and melt hearts in the process.
Mammal keeper Hewin Hochkins says, “We love having a bit of fun around the holidays and Easter is no exception! Our animals can always seem to tell when it’s an exciting time of the year, and now that school holidays have begun, it’s been so joyful to see so many smiling faces visiting us.”
Mr Hochkins continues, “Sadly we had to cancel our Easter celebrations last year due to COVID-19, so it has been such a great moment being able to celebrate again with our animals, staff and visitors. We are open the entire Easter weekend and we love to spread Easter cheer to both the families visiting over the weekend and with our followers on social media!”
Visitors to the Australian Reptile Park can see all the animals over the Easter long weekend with the Park open 9am – 5pm each day. The Easter bunny will also be present over the entire Easter long weekend to meet the children visiting the Park and hand out chocolate Easter eggs!
